An Update

February 2nd, 2010

We’re proud to now be a happy family of 5!

We welcomed our newest baby on October 6th, 2009 - a beautiful boy, 4.10kg born at home with a wonderfully supportive and experienced Independent Midwife.

Here he is at 9 days old!

We won a Competition!

August 16th, 2009

We were so excited to hear that we were the lucky winners from the fabulous Little Choopie Shop! The lucky prize was 2 x bobbies, 2 x pony tail holders, a larger ponytail holder and a necklace - and my little Miss nearly fainted with excitement at the site of them! There are so many beautiful fabrics to choose from, and they get lots of comments on how sweet they look!

Here she is wearing her Little Choopie Pony Tails (in Pale Pink Blossom fabric) - how pleased does she look?

A favourite of my two sweethearts

August 16th, 2009

It’s not very often that I get an opportunity to photograph them both together, as they’re often busy doing their own things! It’s becoming more and more apparent to me that they’re picking out their own hobbies and favourite things, where they used to seem to enjoy doing the same stuff.

He is fast becoming a sports addict! I was watching him play footy in the backyard the other day, and I couldn’t help but chuckle when he encouraged his sister to “hug my back” (he was trying to get her to tackle him, AFL style!). She on the other hand was all “Why?!”. He explained to her gently that it was “how you play football”, he then quickly passed her the ball and laid a hearty tackle on her as an example. She of course was horrified!! Needless to say, she’s not that “into” footy now!

She would much rather play “Mummies”, and will plead with him “please play with me and be the Daddy”. He generally runs away and looks for his football!

This one has her with her hair curled, she loves me to do it for her on special occasions (actually she’d love me to do it all the time, but I’ve put my foot down!). I’m becoming quite adept with my hair straightener - who knew it could make such sweet wavy curls!!

A New Princess { adelaide newborn baby photographer }

June 7th, 2009

It was lovely to catch up with an old friend and meet the newest addition to their sweet family - Miss Caitlyn.

She was lovely and peaceful, a joy to photograph - and this was despite her big sister Alicia and my Claire playing and having a blast around her!

Here is a sample of the images from the day to share.

Isn’t she just perfect?

And if big sister Alicia is anything to go by, I think Mum & Dad are going to have a pair of stunners! I can see them knocking back beaus with a stick in a few years!!

A beautiful family013_22may09

Thanks so much for having us guys, it was lovely to see you all! And Claire in particular had a fabulous time, she’s still talking about the fun she had with Alicia and of course her beautiful hair!!

My own special news (and kind of an excuse for being away for so long!), is that I can get as clucky as I like as I’ll be welcoming a new baby in October!! It’s been a very challenging pregnancy so far, but thankfully I’m finally starting to feel human again and am at the point where I’m able to enjoy my growing belly.

Take care,
Kim xxx

She really was an angel, sleeping soundly through much of the shoot - she really has such a peaceful soul, and I think she’s such a perfect complement to her caring family. It was a pleasure to photograph her, and Nina & Aaron were so lovely to welcome me into their beautiful home - Thank you! I will be in contact with you shortly to share with you the rest of the photographs.

fourth day of january, princess bride

January 4th, 2009

She was given a beautiful barbie dress and veil as a Christmas present from lovely friends, it is now her favourite dressup! Thanks Jordan & Ky! Big brother was also very impressed with his cricket set :)

Second Day of January

January 2nd, 2009

A gorgeous sunny day in Adelaide, perfect for a family outing!

02Jan2009

My darling daughter was happy to twirl in her pink tutu skirt and parasol for a walk, though after spotting a rather large brown snake sunning in some bushes the walk became slightly more attentive. There’s nothing like a snake sighting to put a sombre mood on the walk! Thankfully an iceblock later cheered everyone up :)

Holiday Fun

January 2nd, 2009

Last year I did a challenge where I took at least a photo a day for the entire month of January. I enjoyed it so much and thought it was such a great memory of our Summer holidays, so I’ve decided to do it again. So I’ll share a few of the happenings in the Grantham household as the month goes along!

First Day of January

01Jan2009

For Christmas, Grandma gave the children a sweet stove and sink combo for their cubby house. We’ve decided to keep them inside for a while over the summer so they can enjoy them more out of the heat. Needless to say I’m forever drinking cups of “tea” and sampling some awesome playdough dishes at the moment - they’ve been a real hit!

The other lovely thing about the gifts is that they were handmade by a charity group that runs activities for people with special needs - www.encountercentre.com.au/ They did a great job making them, they’re lovely and sturdy

Pregnant and Glowing - a sneak peak

December 11th, 2008

Gorgeous, glowing, nurturing a little baby who I can’t wait to meet, it was lovely to photograph Nina, doesn’t she look amazing!

The big question will be, will this baby be having his/her first Christmas this year or next year?!
